TEAM
Deniz Demir is a Tokyo-based photographer and entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience across photography, creative industries, sales, marketing and business development.
Originally from Canada, Deniz first visited Japan in 2015 and later made Tokyo his home. His photography focuses on people, cities and contemporary Japanese culture, with work spanning street photography, portraiture, editorial and commercial production.
Before founding Tekumi, Deniz spent more than a decade building and operating a fashion and lifestyle distribution company in Canada, working with brands and retailers across North America, Europe and Asia.
He has been growing his photography portfolio over the last 10 years (www.denizdemir.photos) with his primary focus being Japan and Japan related content.
Tekumi brings those worlds together — photography, production, business and a growing network of creative talent in Japan — with the goal of making it easier for people from around the world to create here.
