HOST TERMS
These Host Terms apply to creators offering photography sessions, workshops, photowalks, and other creative experiences through Tekumi. By agreeing to become a Tekumi Host, you agree to the following terms. 1. Hosting with Tekumi Tekumi connects independent creators in Japan with customers looking for distinctive creative experiences. Hosts operate as independent providers and are responsible for delivering their experience professionally and as described on the Tekumi website. Tekumi may review, approve, decline, edit, or remove an experience from the platform at its discretion. 2. Experience Listings Tekumi will create and manage the experience page on the Tekumi website using information, photographs, and other materials provided by the Host. Hosts must provide accurate information about their experience, including: Description and itinerary Duration Location or meeting area Pricing What is included Availability Any requirements or restrictions Appropriate photographs or other promotional material Hosts must notify Tekumi of any significant changes to their experience. 3. Host Commission Tekumi retains a 25% commission from each completed booking made through the Tekumi platform. The remaining 75% is paid to the Host. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the advertised price on Tekumi should include the Host's fee and Tekumi's commission. 4. Host Payments Payment to the Host will normally be made within 5 days after the experience has been completed. Hosts are responsible for providing accurate payment information and for any taxes, reporting obligations, or other financial obligations applicable to their earnings. 5. Customer Cancellations Customers are entitled to a full refund when cancelling at least 7 days before the scheduled experience. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the scheduled experience are generally non-refundable unless otherwise agreed by Tekumi and the Host or exceptional circumstances apply. Tekumi may issue refunds when reasonably necessary because of exceptional circumstances, booking errors, safety concerns, or situations where the experience cannot reasonably take place. 6. Host Cancellations Hosts should only cancel confirmed bookings when absolutely necessary. If a Host needs to cancel, they must notify Tekumi as soon as possible so the customer can be contacted and refunded or alternative arrangements can be made. Repeated or avoidable cancellations may result in removal of the Host or experience from Tekumi. 7. Availability & Bookings Hosts are responsible for keeping Tekumi informed of their availability. Once a booking has been confirmed, the Host is expected to honour the agreed date, time, location, price, and experience. Any requested changes should be communicated to Tekumi as soon as possible. 8. Professional Conduct Hosts are expected to provide a safe, respectful, professional, and welcoming experience. Harassment, discrimination, dangerous behaviour, illegal activity, or conduct that could reasonably place a customer at risk will not be accepted. Hosts must comply with applicable Japanese laws and regulations relevant to their experience. 9. Safety & Responsibility Hosts are responsible for conducting their activities safely and for informing participants of any reasonably foreseeable risks, requirements, or restrictions. Hosts are responsible for obtaining any permissions, licences, insurance, or other requirements that may apply to their particular activity. 10. Photos & Promotional Material Hosts retain ownership of photographs and other original material they provide to Tekumi. By providing material for an experience listing, the Host gives Tekumi permission to use that material to advertise and promote the experience and the Tekumi platform, including on the Tekumi website, social media, and related marketing channels. The Host confirms that they have the necessary rights and permissions to provide this material. 11. Customer Information Any customer information provided to a Host must only be used as necessary to deliver the booked experience. Hosts must not misuse, sell, distribute, or use customer information for unrelated marketing without appropriate permission. 12. Direct Bookings Bookings originating through Tekumi should remain on the Tekumi platform. Hosts should not encourage customers introduced through Tekumi to cancel, bypass, or move their booking outside Tekumi in order to avoid the platform commission. 13. Independent Host Relationship Hosts are independent providers and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Tekumi. Nothing in these terms creates an employment relationship, partnership, or joint venture between Tekumi and the Host. 14. Removal from Tekumi Either the Host or Tekumi may end the hosting relationship. Tekumi may suspend or remove an experience where there are significant customer complaints, safety concerns, repeated cancellations, inaccurate information, breaches of these terms, or other circumstances that could negatively affect customers or the Tekumi platform. Any existing confirmed bookings should still be honoured unless otherwise agreed. 15. Changes to These Terms Tekumi may update these Host Terms as the platform develops. Hosts will be informed of significant changes that materially affect their participation, fees, or responsibilities. 16. Governing Law These Host Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes relating to these terms or participation as a Tekumi Host will be handled in accordance with applicable Japanese law. Tekumi株式会社 / Tekumi Inc. Tokyo, Japan Last updated: August 2026
